Mark Wirtz was an influential figure in the music industry, particularly during the 1960s, when he worked as a producer, arranger, songwriter, and musician at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Working at Abbey Road Studios during the peak of the Beatles' and Pink Floyd's fame, Mark crafted iconic works, including Grocer Jack from A Teenage Opera. Mark's creative genius has left an indelible mark on the world of music.

In August 2020, Mark sadly passed away after living with Frontotemporal dementia. Frontotemporal dementia is one of the less common types of dementia. It is sometimes called Pick's disease or frontal lobe dementia. The first noticeable symptoms are changes to personality and behaviour and difficulties with language.

To honour his friend’s memory, Stephen C. Wilson has compiled Mark’s music into a 5-CD box set, Dream Dream Dream: The Anthology. Steve has chosen to donate all his royalties from the box set to BRACE Dementia Research, ensuring Mark’s legacy contributes to vital research into conditions like Frontotemporal dementia.

If you would like to celebrate Mark Wirtz’s music and support dementia research, you can purchase the box set here: Dream Dream Dream: The Anthology.
